It’s a funny thing, this book-writing business. I never know what kind of response my books will get once they’re off the presses.
I’m used to a few reviews within the book industry and not much more press than that. But since Not a Chance was released on March 1, it’s gotten a coveted starred review in Kirkus and been reviewed in mainstream publications that have never mentioned my books before, like the National Post. I even had a publicity agent from New York write to me in response to a review he read! Go figure.
I’m watching in curiosity. Is it the cover that’s catching people’s interests? Is it the two-book-in-one-season thing? Or something else entirely? I don’t have a clue, but it’s fun to watch it unfold!
