I am available for school visits, library presentations, festival readings, workshops, and conferences. I love traveling and always enjoy talking to children and adults about writing, stories, and books. Some of my favourite topics are:

• the writing process, from inspiration through research, writing, and editing
• social activism and empowering kids (how kids and books are changing the world)
• finding creative passion, and turning dreams into reality

I’ve spoken with a variety of groups, ranging from preschoolers to university professors. (The News and Events page offers details about those talks.) I tailor my multimedia presentations to the age, interests and size of each audience, and length can range from 30 minutes to a full day.
