I am a Canadian author of three novels for kids aged seven to ten, and the Theodore Too picture book series. My newest novel, After Peaches (Orca Books 2009), features a young refugee from Mexico. My other two novels are part of the Kids’ Power Series, published by Second Story Press, telling true stories of young people who have taken action to improve their lives and the world around them. I love every stage of writing these stories—finding them, writing them, and hearing the excited responses of readers who tell me about their own triumphs and dreams.
