New website!

A lot has happened in the eleven years since my last website went up! Thank you to Meade Design Group, and especially Alex Young, for the new look. I love it!

Pulling together the information for this website has been like time travel. I remember researching topics such as the zero-waste movement or youth activism or mental health, and the resources felt very limited. Once my books were published, reviewers often called them radical. Now, though, those uncommon ideas are becoming more and more mainstream. Hurray for growth and change!

New conversations in the media are also allowing me to look at my older books through different eyes. I’m thrilled that, in recent school visits, students have consistently been asking me about the role of race in After Peaches. It’s exciting to live in a time when these huge issues are finally being discussed. We have so much work to do to create a just and egalitarian society, and I’m delighted to be part of these crucial conversations.

Onward!
